From finding the perfect invitation suite, to enjoying bridal shower bliss, to navigating the wedding day timeline, we are always thinking of you and how to ensure you truly enjoy your wedding day–leaving behind all traces of stress the second you step foot into engaged life.
It is always discussed how everyone should look their best on their big day. We believe what is most important is that everyone should feel their best. In considering this, we reached out to Hannah Padgett with The Food Coach LLC. Hannah provided us with her best healthy tips and tricks on how to achieve just that.
How to fight inflammation:
“One of the best ways to fight inflammation is with a whole foods diet. Healthy tips are to reduce processed foods as much as possible. Other specific foods to reduce include refined carbohydrates (pastries, cakes, cookies, crackers, cereal), fried foods, sugar-sweetened beverages (soda, juices, sports drinks, sugar filled coffee drinks), and processed meats. Focus on including lots of green vegetables, root vegetables, lower sugar fruits (berries), nuts/seeds, fatty fish (salmon, tuna, sardines), and high quality meats (organic, grass fed, local).” says Hannah.
How to achieve your brightest wedding glow:
“All of these foods will also help with skin health, especially the vegetables and fruits. Some of the best foods for skin health include fatty fish, avocados and walnuts. All of these foods are rich in healthy fats and vitamin E, which is an important antioxidant that helps protect your skin from damage. When it comes to reducing inflammation and bloating and keeping your skin healthy, hydration is key. Drink enough water throughout the day. Women should aim for at least 11 cups and men 13 cups of water a day. You will need more if you are active.” Hannah shares. Don’t forget to increase hydration even more so when enjoying the tropics and a cocktail or two. This is especially important on your wedding weekend. Not only will doing this help you rock your glow, but it will also help ward off any headaches, fatigue and nausea.
What do we at Blue Water Weddings think? Hannah tackled how to feel best in your body, but we also want to ensure you consider feeling best mentally, too. Don’t hesitate to lean on your bridal party. Everyone is coming together to celebrate you. When they say they want to help, let them! This can be easier said than done, but when hesitating in asking someone to tackle a task, consider if they asked you. Surely, you would jump at the opportunity, and be overjoyed to be a helping hand. Just as you would feel this way for them, we are confident they would feel this way helping you. And don’t forget…we’ve got your back, too. 🙂
XOXO,
