Florida Keys Luxury Wedding {Brea & Adam}

As so many couples are heading back to their planning binders and in need of some wedding day inspiration, our hearts instantly thought of Brea & Adam’s love story and Florida Keys luxury wedding to spread that exact inspiration and warm, comforting feelings needed during this time.

To say it was an honor to work alongside Brea & Adam is putting it extremely lightly. We cannot say enough what fun we had with the two of them and their incredible families. To share with you their love story and the inspiration behind their gorgeous Southern style luxury wedding day brought to the beach, bride Brea spills the details below!

Tell us about you two! When and where did you meet? What made you select a Florida Keys luxury wedding?

“Adam and I met while working for the Florida Panthers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We always saw The Keys as the perfect weekend getaway, whether that was going all the way down to Key West or discovering the other Keys along the way. We had a very spontaneous trip to Islamorada where we ate at Pierre’s, stayed at Amara Cay, and just thought to ourselves –this is paradise.

When we started discussing what we wanted our wedding to mean to us, and the types of experiences to incorporate for friends and family to enjoy, it became very obvious that Islamorada was the place to achieve all goals.”

 

Was there a specific color or vision that inspired your wedding?

“The setting of Islamorada is literally breathtaking. Islamorada means Purple Isle because of the gorgeous sunsets. I knew that for the colors, I didn’t want anything that would distract from the natural beauty of where we were. Pierre’s had this amazing Southern Charm to it with blue shutters, teal ceilings, and nude, rustic chairs and tables.

Although Pierre’s was the perfect backdrop, we wanted the event to be special and detailed for both us and our guests, so we went for a bit of a tropical rustic glam. Julia and her team were absolutely paramount in helping us with the color palettes and bringing this vision to life. There were so many decisions along the way where Julia would suggest a color or style and everything came together in the most beautiful, breathtaking way.”

What little detail about your Florida Keys luxury wedding day was most meaningful to you?

“Oh gosh! There are so many. I think for me the entire process was such an amazing memory. From driving down monthly to meet with Julia, to dress shopping with my Mom and Aunt, to actually thinking through every detail of our long wedding weekend that was filled with events. On our actual wedding day, there are a couple of moments that stick out. My parents wrote both Adam and I a confidential letter that we each read while we were getting ready. That was really special. My mom also very spontaneously thought it would be a great idea to do a first look with my Father. That was one of the most special moments of my life.”

We love to give credit where credit is due! Who designed your wedding dress and Adam’s suit? Where were they purchased?

“My dress is Made with Love. I got it from the AMAZING Lighthouse Bridal. Adam’s wedding suit was custom from Men’s Warehouse.”

 

In typical Brea fashion, she seals it all up with some sweetness…

“For anyone reading this, Julia is literally the most important part of your day. I cannot stress that enough. She is a SUPERHERO disguised as a modern wedding planner. To be honest, I don’t even think I know ALL OF THE THINGS Julia did for us. And that’s what makes her so special. From the day we met Julia, she kept us on track, she somehow managed to see my vision before I even knew what my vision was, and she carried out our plan to the second.

Being in the entertainment industry, we knew how to throw a damn good party, but Julia just brought it to life. We also had family and friends that wanted to participate as vendors, which I’m sure was more trouble for Julia than normal. But she did it with a smile! I had absolutely no stress on the day of my wedding knowing that everything was in Julia and her teams hands. Again, I can’t stress this enough, the wedding you see in our photos is because Julia is literally a ninja. I don’t know how she could be in 3 places at once, but she made it happen. Just as anyone will tell you, everything doesn’t go perfectly on the day of your wedding. However, with Julia, she makes it so you never know what little mishaps have happened along the way.”
