Shopping for the wedding dress is a huge moment in the life of a bride-to-be (and it is one of her top priorities as well). And while bringing along some good friends and “advisors” is definitely recommendable, you should also keep in mind that not everyone should be included in the wedding dress shopping entourage. Here are some of the most important things to know about this:

Bring people you can trust. Your wedding dress shopping entourage has to include people whose opinions you truly care about and whose fashion sense you can really rely on. Don’t feel obliged to include anyone in the entourage if you don’t want to!

·       Make sure you don’t include anyone who is too traditional. You want this wedding (and, consequently, this wedding dress) to be about you, your personality and your love story. And if you cannot actually relate to traditional wedding dresses, someone who is too conservative will be constantly dismissing your choices.

·       Also, remember not to bring all of your bridesmaids (and much less your flower girl). A couple of bridesmaids is OK, but bringing the entire wedding party with you will not be a good idea, as it could get confusing. Furthermore, a wedding dress shopping session is not a very fun place for a very young girl – and this is why you might want to think twice before including your flower girl.

·       Last, but not least, don’t bring with you people who are too high-maintenance, too critical or jealous by nature. They will only take you down, they won’t offer the advice you need and they will dismiss your options based on their own point of view, not based on knowing who you actually are and what looks great on you.
